Test patient/citizen on live portal for Hull CC

Hull CC have identified a requirement for there to be a test patient/citizen record on the live tenancy of the Interweave Portal. This is something that is available in their case management system and it's a useful way of providing a demo and training on the system for new users. Please can you advise on the feasibility and also if there'd be any patient safety implications?

    hi Gayle, as discussed, there are some spine enabled test patients in live, as registered by other providers. Users can be given CS role so that they can view patients without the reason being 'direct care', and instead select CS testing of UI or data.

    We can also set users up in the default tenancy in sandpit if they want to use our test patient for demo's or training

    Hi All, when doing tenancy config and checking, system admin don't have legitimate relationships with patients in order to view on their production environments to make sure all tabs/panels are configured correctly. A 'live-test' patient would be needed for this. In addition, if organisations are cascading training and demos internally, they often don't have access to a sandpit (stand alone portal/S1 etc.) so may need a live-test patient for further rollout demos and any additional config checking when new features are released going forward.

    Hi Tara,

    Not sure if this is still a priority - I'm mindful a lot of time has passed since you raised this.

    As Ian mentioned previously, there's a lot of complexity associated with this request. Equally, there are some IG considerations that are probably best picked up by your internal team. Providing your IG are happy with the request, you are best liaising with NHSD to discuss the provision of a test patient whom we can associate test data with.

    I'm going to amend the status to 'will not implement', but this is merely to reflect the fact that Interweave does not need to be involved with the proposed solution.

    Having a test case in a Live system allows investigation and testing to take place to prove that the Live infrastructure is working correctly. We already carry out most testing and training in a separate environment but final signoff to some changes can only take place within the Live environment.

    With the NHS cohort of data, this proves difficult as you sign to say that we will only view a case record for the proper verified support which we are undertaking, so using a persons record for this purpose is not allowed.

    Hi Tara, this is harder than it seems, i.e. we don't have a database into which we can drop a test record. Instead we would ideally need a test patient from NHSD so that the system passes the PDS trace.

    I wonder if we could examine the requirement a bit closer though? Why would they need a test patient in Live, should training and demo's instead be done in Sandpit?
