The Patient Communication functionality in the Portal no longer works following the move to the PDS FHIR API. It should inform users of which languages a patient speaks and whether they need an interpreter (see https://interweavedigital.atlassian.net/browse/ICR-5677)

Other information
The Portal UI will only currently show PDS languages when they are 'flagged' as preferred. However, that extension is not used in the FHIR API (only language and interpreter required). As such suggest the UI is updated to show all languages (and interpreter required) regardless of whether they are preferred (note: this could involve displaying multiple languages) |
