Note: this is a public facing web portal, any text here can be viewed by anyone over the internet, so please consider carefully the content you wish to share and please do not post anything of a sensitive nature.
The current set session timeout message instructs users 'you can relaunch from the external application to continue, this window should now be closed'. This is not an appropriate set of instruction for users specifically accessing the portal within an iframe. Closing the window would result in the system (in this case) an EPR to be completely shut. There is no functionality for iframe users to close the individual portal window and relaunch through their EPR.
Instead the phrasing should be 'please refresh the page' in order for the EPR to call the portal to generate a new token for access.
Asking users to close the entire window, will cause product reputational damage, clinical frustration and ultimately, low utilisation.
