SystmOne Non-GP ... Patient not Found

When none of the TPP units that have been enabled for sharing, have a record of the a Patient the end user sees a couple for messages

  1. The SystmOne Non-GP tab says “Could not find and SystmOne Non-GP documents. Please try later” … this is confusing to end users, as it implies it is a temporary issue, and if the user tries again in a while, they will see some information

  2. They also get an error toast and a message in the error modal saying “No patient found for NHS Number ‘xyz’” … which isn’t really an error, as that is the expected outcome when there is no data for that patient in any of the units set up for sharing.

Suggest it would be better not to have the error message and to have a more meaningful text on the SystmOne Non-GP tab.

    Happy to re-raise as a bug ... I raise as an Idea since the Non-GP feed didn't look like it was being fully adopted given some of the clinical safety concerns.

    I like the suggestion of not showing the Non-GP tab when there is no data ... I nearly put that in the original Idea, however decided against it as the portal would need to send a non-GP query when the summary page loaded (to determine whether to hide the tab or not) ... and that felt like a big change?

    Hi Steve,

    Just reviewing this one and wondering whether it's an idea or a bug...

    If the issue is that the existing error messaging does not provide useful indication of why the data won't load, I think that's something we need to fix rather than build. That being said, I wonder whether a better solution to this issue might be to have the SystmOne Non-GP tab not show at all if there's no data available for a patient. What do you think?
