As discussed at TDA, 5 Dec 2023, it was suggested to raise an idea.
When a data provider deletes a Patient resource from their local Connect instance, as per Design-Paper #004 - Patient Identity Exchange PIX MPI section 5.3, if the de-registration process removes the last Linkage to the patient in PIX, the patient is deactivated in PIX: only NHS number & DoB attribtes remain and the Patient resource is marked active=false.
However, if you attempt to view the deactivated NHS number in the Portal a blank record is displayed and a number of errors are generated.
The suggestion is that the Portal should display ‘patient not found’ or similar for PIX Patient resources where active != true.
