This portal provides an open platform for user feedback and product change requests. Anyone can add an idea and remain as a Guest, but please consider signing up so that others can see who has created the ideas!
Note: this is a public facing web portal, any text here can be viewed by anyone over the internet, so please consider carefully the content you wish to share and please do not post anything of a sensitive nature.
Many patients may not have useful/relevant information in the portal, in which case users would be wasting time opening the portal. This may end up causing users to remove the portal from their workflow if they regularly do not find useful information.
It would be nice to be able to check on the back end via an API which providers have data available for the patient so that we can highlight in our system when there is potentially relevant information for users to view. This data already appears to be checked in the 'providers filter' so we hope this would be easy to make available.
We have a similar system with EPACCs where we highlight the epaccs button green if there is a document available to view which stops users unnecessarily checking it.

Hi - The Rotherham Foundation Trust have been asking for this and I passed the details of the DAS onto them. The trust have responded to say that:
'The data availability service only tells you if the patient is registered with a provider – not that the provider has any clinical data for that patient to share.
What we need to know is if each provider has any clinical resources for that patient, such as encounter, appointment, referral, allergy etc.'
Is this something that can be considered please?

Hi, this is already available through the DAS (Data Availability Service) which provides consumers with a mechanism to query the Exchange prior to launching a consumer UI. Please could you have a look at the design paper and let us know if you need further information, I'm not sure whether anyone is already using this service

this would be incredibly useful -- especially until the majority of providers are actually providing.
this would help prevent users drilling down where there is no prospect of useful information
