Dates and authors of letters and documents to be visible

When searching for a document/letter for a patient, it would be easier if the date and author of the letter could be displayed. At the moment, we have to open each letter to see the date it was sent. At the minute it just gives the date the letter was indexed which is always in real time.

We have problems with this issue, particularly when the document indexed date is derived from a batch/historic load. This will mean that documents will all show the date when they were loaded rather than a meaningful created date. I know Emma has raised this as a known issue and had some ideas for dealing with it (custom extension, meta tag). Maybe it could be a candidate for FHIR Fix too somehow?

    Hi Maxine

'Author' is displayed in the summary panel call-out, and in the details panel

Date... this caused some debate internally a while ago. Essentially 'Created' is a field that has been removed from the R4 FHIR standard, so we have also removed this from our Interweave standard, in advance of switching to R4 which we will need to align to https://fhir.interweavedigital.com/structuredefinition-interweave-documentreference

The remaining fields are 'Indexed' which may be the same, or close, in some circumstances, and 'Context - Period' which could contain a Start date and End date if supplied by the data provider.

Our standards are built in collaboration with data providers, and approved by the TDA (Technical Design Authority), but if you wish to challenge the standard please could you log this on the Data Standards Idea portal https://interweave-data.ideas.aha.io/ sorry, but this is where standards are managed, as the portal supports your request as far as we are able to at present
