Align to the questions/sections in PRSB About Me v1.2 Standard (initially as text/narrative, however future iterations could include option to upload multimedia files)
Use a FHIR Questionnaire to model the template and a QuestionnaireResponse to capture the patient’s answers (Data Standards for both would need to be agreed)
There should only ever be a single About Me for a patient – there will be audit / version history, however users will only ever see the current one.
Regions can configure where the About Me is persisted, i.e. specify a local data provider FHIR Store
The About Me should be displayed prominently, e.g. within the patient details page, or on its own page (i.e. it should not just be listed in a panel with all other QuestionnaireResponses)
There should be a notification on the ‘ribbon panel’ to alert the user that there is a competed about me for a patient
Users should be able to update (or create if one doesn’t exist) an About Me on behalf of a Patient via the Portal – the user will need to be made aware that any updates can only be made on the express permission of the patient, and it’s not for them to record what they think the patient is interested in, or record information that is pathway specific, rather than the type of information the About Me is designed for.
PHRs (or other line of business systems) would also be able to view/update About Me via the Exchange
Kevin, there is a side project atm to explore editing capability, outside of the ShCR programme, but this should provide us with the capability we need to support this idea
in the meantime, Toby, please do share your HELM experiences, thanks
This would be an absolutely brilliant thing to do, it is a perfect example of how we should be aligning to national standards and collaborate across the region.
We would need this to include the ability to record videos/photographs and this needs to be done bu citizens, or with HCPs supporting them.
We would welcome this functionality in LLR too. For info Ian, we did a fair bit of discovery work in Leeds for a Helm implementation of this (which was partly developed). Happy to share the outputs.
this is a good idea, but one we will need to explore carefully, especially regarding the governance aspect, I will promote this to the backlog for a discovery session to drive out the approach
